Charlie FinkDet 24 augusti ska ju jag och Elin gå på endagsfestivalen Get loaded in the park (http://www.getloadedinthepark.com/) på Clapham common i London, främst för att se ett av våra gemensamma favoritband The Maccabees.
När jag var inne på GLITPs hemsida hade de lagt upp en liten jukebox med några av banden som ska spelas låtar. En av låtarna var 5 years time med Noah and the whale och det tyckte jag var lite underligt eftersom det inte har sagts någonting om att de ska spela. Då gick jag tillbaka till förstasidan och lästa den finstilta, vilket jag bara hade skummat igenom innan;
Ah yes, the Get Loaded jukebox. Every year we give you the chance to kick back at home, work or wherever and listen to ALL your favourite Get Loaded in the Park artists as we get you in the mood for our summer festival this Bank Holiday weekend. Yes ma’am, we’re delighted to report that this year’s 19 track Jukebox is now up online for you to listen to at your heart’s content and boy oh boy – it’s a cracker!! From festival belters like Iggy & The Stooges’ ‘I Wanna be your Dog’, Gossip’s ‘Standing in the Way of Control’, Supergrass’ ‘Moving’ and Reverend and the Makers’ ‘Heavyweight Champion of the World’ to hot new cuts from The Maccabees, The Holloways, Plastic Little, The Presets and Midnight Juggernauts. There’s loads more besides too including more music from big guns Kate Nash, The Hives, Gogol Bordello and Soulwax, plus Mylo, Wiley, Utah Saints and Krafty Kuts...
Oh and a track by our potential new act – I wonder if you can spot it?!?!
Det är nästan för bra för att vara sant och jag har dansat en miniversion av min happydance i fem minuter nu! Jag hoppas med alla tummar hållna!
